The Great Virginia Greenup is a state-wide effort to beautify the Commonwealth from the first day of spring to the first day of summer each year. Our efforts are a part of the nationwide Great American Cleanup campaign coordinated by Keep America Beautiful.

There are opportunities to join existing events, or to organize one on your own or with a group.  We’ll provide resources, incentives, materials, fun activities, and prizes throughout the campaign so stay tuned to our social channels regularly.  Make sure to report your activity and results and be entered to win KVB Sustainable Living Kits on a weekly basis.

We all have a part to play in making sure our communities are clean and beautiful.  The path to a cleaner, greener future starts with you!

Projects can include activities such as:

💚  Picking up litter from roadsides, neighborhoods, beaches, waterways, and parks to support cleaner communities

💚  Recycling old or unwanted items rounded up from homes and yards

💚  Planting trees, flowers and, community gardens to strengthen green infrastructure

💚  Restoring nature trails, parks, and playgrounds to encourage outdoor activity

💚  Rejuvenating business districts to boost economic development
