Who Likes a Party? We Do!

It’s fast approaching, and our excitement is building.  We’re talking, of course, about our upcoming Keep Virginia Beautiful Gala.  Oh, you haven’t heard?

On October 5th we’ll be taking over the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to throw the biggest party we’ve ever had.  It’s not every year that you turn sixty, and we plan to celebrate in style.  We’re also very grateful to our Presenting Sponsor, Altria.  In addition to their support, we also have some 60th Anniversary Partners in the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Verizon, Alliance Group, Dominion Due Diligence, Mead Westvaco, Virginia Business Magazine, Virginia is for Lovers, and Walmart.   That, by the way, is a partial list.

We’ve lined up music for the event, and will have food and drink.  That means some serious dancing.  We’ve also welcomed an honorary board made up of all of Virginia’s living First Ladies.  In addition to the magnificent collection of the VMFA, an auction will be held featuring artwork from notable Virginians and gift packages from premier locations throughout the Commonwealth.  Pretty cool, right?

As much as this is a celebration of sixty years of Keep Virginia Beautiful, it’s also about all of you.  We’re just an organization that is committed to spreading the word about keeping our Commonwealth clean and green.  But it takes the individual acts of thousands of Virginians doing the actual work.  That’s who we’re really celebrating – all of you.

There are still plenty of opportunities to get involved in our Gala.  The money raised will go towards funding programs like our Thirty in 30 grants, doing things like putting recycling bins in all of our State Parks, and starting new programs during our next sixty years.  Virginia is a big state, and we need all of the help we can get to Keep Virginia Beautiful.

Follow this link to get your business involved as a sponsor.  You can also purchase individual tickets or our VIP Patron ticket package.  Every bit helps, and we’d love to fill the VMFA with smiling Virginians on October 5th.  If you have questions or need more information, contact our Executive Director, Mike Baum.

Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you.
