Show Virginia Some Love.
LOVE VA is Keep Virginia Beautiful’s annual fall stewardship campaign, inviting Virginians to come together to care for the places we all call home.
From September 15 through November 15, individuals, families, schools, businesses, nonprofits, and local governments are encouraged to take part in projects that leave communities cleaner, greener, and more beautiful before winter arrives.
Whether you organize a neighborhood cleanup, plant trees, restore a park, host a recycling event, or complete another community improvement project, every act of stewardship helps build a stronger, healthier Virginia.
Every Beautiful Act Counts.
Four Ways to LOVE VA
❤️ Clean
Organize or participate in litter cleanups along roadsides, waterways, parks, trails, beaches, neighborhoods, and public spaces.
🌱 Beautify
Plant trees, flowers, and pollinator gardens, restore parks and playgrounds, improve community spaces, and complete projects that make Virginia more beautiful.
♻️ Recycle
Celebrate America Recycles Day by hosting recycling drives, collecting hard-to-recycle materials, or encouraging waste reduction and responsible recycling in your community.
🚬 Special Community Actions
Throughout the campaign, Keep Virginia Beautiful may highlight special volunteer opportunities and community initiatives that address specific environmental challenges—including targeted efforts focused on cigarette litter prevention and other emerging priorities.
Kick Off the Season
LOVE VA begins each September with Pickup with Pups, our fun, family-friendly cleanup event in partnership with the Richmond SPCA. Grab your dog—or borrow a friend—and help launch two months of community action across the Commonwealth.
Find Your Way to Participate
No project is too big or too small.
