It’s time for some spring cleaning! And, nothing says spring like America’s favorite game: BASEBALL!
Join us (and Nutzy!) at the Diamond in Richmond, Virginia on Saturday, April 2, 2022 as we clean up the neighborhood so it is clean and ready for baseball season.
We will provide cleaning supplies and a gift to all who attend as a thank you.
This cleanup is our first event as part of Keep Virginia Beautiful’s first annual Great Virginia Greenup. From March 20 to June 21st, we’ll be organizing and encouraging community improvement projects throughout the state as part of Keep America Beautiful’s national Great American Cleanup. Together, we can improve the places where we live, work, and play!
Participating is FREE, EASY, and REWARDING!
We all have a part to play in making sure our communities are clean and beautiful. The Great Virginia Greenup will include opportunities to join existing events or organize on your own or with a group.
Projects can include activities such as:
💚 Picking up litter from roadsides, neighborhoods, beaches, waterways, and parks to support cleaner communities
💚 Recycling old or unwanted items rounded up from homes and yards
💚 Planting trees, flowers and, community gardens to strengthen green infrastructure
💚 Restoring nature trails, parks, and playgrounds to encourage outdoor activity
💚 Rejuvenating business districts to boost economic development
We will provide encouragement and resources to make your green projects successful this spring.
Can we help you get started? Get some tips and resources and/or email us for support. We would love to help you think through either individual projects or things you can do together with your school, civic group, employer, or others!
