Region

Every year the town of St. Paul comes alive with the flavors of the region during Clinch River Days. Highlights include river and railroad lore and history, photography, symphony and bluegrass, carnival rides and games, educational wetlands, nature walks, endangered mussel nursery demonstrations, birding, kayaking & canoeing, caving and more.  Lots of live music, the annual classic car show, kids fishing tournament, contests, magic, civil war reenactments

Stop by the wine tent for samplings from local vineyards and St. Paul’s new craft brewery, Sugar Hill Brewing Company.

Celebrate a scenic river that is home to rare & endangered fresh water mussels & more varieties of fish than any river in the northern hemisphere in one of Virginia’s newest designated bird and wildlife regions. Schedule a canoe trip, take in a fishing demonstration, or hike on the eight miles of maintained trails along the Clinch River. Nearby is Wetlands Estonoa, a nationally acclaimed student-based wetlands and outdoor educational center.

Many new events and activities have been added to this year’s offering – there’s something for everyone at the Clinch River Festival!
