This event is free and open to all Suffolk residents. We also encourage attendees to bring non‑perishable food and toiletry items to support local community partners.

The Recycling Drive & Tire Amnesty Day gives Suffolk residents a convenient and responsible way to recycle and dispose of items not accepted through regular curbside service — all while helping protect our environment and keep our community beautiful.

♻️ What You Can Bring

At the Recycling Drive & Tire Amnesty Day, we’ll be accepting a wide variety of items, including:

  • Residential tires (rim size of 22″ or less, with rims removed – Suffolk ID required)
  • Household hazardous waste (with valid ID required)
    • Batteries
    • Paint
    • Pesticides
    • CFL bulbs
    • and more!
  • Document shredding (Please note we may limit guests to 3 shopping bags of documents per person during exceptionally busy times)
  • Electronics, clothing, shoes, and wares (TVs must be 42 in. or less)
  • Food & toiletry donations
  • Eyeglasses & hearing aids
  • Old/unserviceable U.S. flags
  • Gently used plant pots
  • Recyclables such as:
    • Plastic bottles (#1 & #2)
    • Cardboard, paper & magazines
    • Glass and aluminum/tin cans

📌 **Please note we are NOT accepting scrap metal or appliances at this event!**

  • 💡 Reminder: Residents must show a valid ID for Hazardous Waste disposal, and a valid Suffolk ID for tire disposal.
