You Don’t Want to Miss JamPacked!

Poster for JamPacked event on 8-12-23We’re honored to be the charity beneficiary of JamPacked again this year on August 12, 2023!  Gates open at 3 pm, so make your plans now!  There will be family fun, jammin’ music, environmentally conscious craft brews, food, and like-minded sustainable vendors!

JamPacked is a craft beer and music festival that’s hosted by WestRock, a company that designs and produces paper-based packaging for more than 400 craft beverage companies nationwide. JamPacked will feature some of these valued craft beverages served in recyclable aluminum cans to minimize landfill waste.

With a serious commitment to sustainability, WestRock provides innovative packaging solutions that help customers achieve their sustainability goals and win in the market.  Their commitment continues by hosting this Zero-Waste public event on beautiful Brown’s Island, where recycling and composting efforts demonstrate the positive power of people that care about the environment.  You can read more about WestRock on their webpages for Bettering the Planet and Supporting People and Our Communities.

Stage and concert goers at JamPacked 2022, Brown's IslandThe Jam part of the name is for the live music that will be playing!  Check out this year’s lineup:   Pigeons Playing Ping Pong; Circles Around The Sun; Eggy; Dogs In A Pile; and Yam Yam!  Live on stage, you can enjoy their music from every side of the island.

Volunteers are needed, especially beer servers for the 8:30-10:30 pm time slot!  If you’re able to open up a can, hand it to the next person in line, and smile – you’re qualified!  BEST NEWS:  for being a volunteer, you get into the JamPacked event FREE!  You can sign up through HandsOn Greater Richmond – just search for JamPacked or Keep Virginia Beautiful and choose your shift!

Last year’s event sold out before the day of the event!  So be sure to get your tickets  or volunteer, and come on down to Brown’s Island!
