Keep Southwest Virginia Beautiful Awarded a $1,000 Green Grant

Keep Southwest Virginia Beautiful is the largest regional Keep America Beautiful affiliate. They will use their $1,000 Green Grants award to start a new Cigarette Litter Prevention Program in the City of Norton, in order to draw attention to the problem of cigarette litter. They will target the downtown area by installing ash receptacles, and printing posters to display in store windows. Keep Southwest Virginia Beautiful will also seek publicity for the Cigarette Litter Prevention Program by reaching out to local media outlets, and using social media accounts to engage and educate the citizens of Norton.
