Riverheads High Wins 30 in 30

Riverheads High in Staunton has been awarded a $500 30 in 30 Grant in the recycling category. These grants are made possible by Altria and MeadWestvaco.

Riverheads High School has recycled 8.28 tons of paper and 1.48 tons of plastic in the past four years. Lack of curbside recycling, however, makes it a challenge to properly dispose of the recycling material the school collects. In order to continue their successful recycling program, the Riverheads Gladiators need to rent a large recycling container. Funds provided by our 30 in 30 Grant will be used for the purpose of renting the recycling container.
