Pulaski Group Wins 30 in 30

Friends of Peak Creek has been awarded a 30 in 30 Grant of $1000 in the Recycling category. Our 30 in 30 Grant program focuses greater resources and attention on organizations and individual localities throughout the Commonwealth and how they are addressing the issues of litter prevention, recycling, waste reduction, beautification and education. These grants are made possible by Altria and MeadWestvaco.

Since its renovation, the Town of Pulaski’s Historic Train Station has become a hub of activities for the community. Debris, trash and recylables from events and daily foot traffic either end up in Peak Creek, or in trash containers that go directly to a landfill. With funding from our 30 in 30 Grant, the Friends of Peak Creek will purchase four recycling receptacles for the exterior of the Historic Pulaski Train Station.
