A Video Profile of KVB: Our Past, Present, and Future
Richmond, VA’s boutique video production house, Rocket Pop Media recently set out to capture the essence of Keep Virginia Beautiful, the state’s online hub of environmental information.
The Premise
The organization dates back to the 1950’s, when it was founded as the Virginia Anti-Litterbug Council. The group later became a regional affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, and Keep Virginia Beautiful was born. This short video is a document of the group’s impact on the state, and includes interviews with some of the earliest leaders of KVB, up through the current Executive Director, Michael Baum.
“We see this video as a great opportunity to raise awareness for Keep Virginia Beautiful and its mission for the sate,” said Baum. “Our cause is growing stronger every day, but needs more involvement, more partners, and concerned citizens to come together to make an impact for the greater good.”
The Video Detail
The video, “Our Past, Present, and Future,” emphasizes the need for environmental action, and was shot in pristine 1080p HD. KVB’s achievements of 2011 and goals for the coming year are outlined alongside interviews with our corporate partner, Altria. Their contributions to the cause helped re-launch the organization to serve a new generation of Virginians.
KVB was recently spotlighted on Rocket Pop Media’s website as a featured case study, found here.
“We were excited to partner with Keep Virginia Beautiful to produce the new video,” says Rocket Pop Media president Scott Dickens. “What they do is vital to the community, and we’re committed to helping them any way we can.”
