Our 30 in 30 Green Grant initiative is designed to empower groups all across Virginia to make an environmental impact in their own communities. To honor our commitment to the Commonwealth, Keep Virginia Beautiful funds thirty grant recipients, announced one each day in the month of June. These grants are awarded to schools, parks, counties and towns, environmental groups, associations, nonprofits, and service organizations in four different categories: Community Beautification, Cigarette Litter Prevention, Litter Prevention, and Recycling.
Since 2011, Keep Virginia Beautiful has provided $230,000 for 290 different projects throughout the state.
Online applications for a Green Grant will be accepted each April during Earth Month. A panel of expert judges reviews the applications in May, and awards for “30 in 30 Green Grants” recipients are announced one each day in the month of June on social media and this website.
