As we embrace the warm weather there is lots of fun ahead celebrating National Farmers Market Week at select market locations from Sunday, August 5 through Saturday, August 11, 2018. Bring your family and friends out to the farmers markets for games, kid’s activities, a free gift basket raffle, and cooking demonstrations by local chefs. The farmers markets offer a wide variety of farm fresh products, including produce, meats, cheese, eggs, jams, and honey. Fairfax County Farmers Markets are strictly producer-only, which means that our vendors must grow or make from scratch everything they bring to market. This gives customers the unique opportunity to ask farmers directly about their products, growing methods, animal welfare practices and more. Shopping at the farmers market is a great way to celebrate all that the seasons has to offer, while supporting local farmers, businesses, and communities.
