Kick-Off City of Galax Recycling

…The Plaques are engraved with the names of those who have donated, or had donations given to honor them, for the downtown revitalization effort. Galax Mayor, C.M. Mitchell led the ceremony by recalling the history “As we build and go forward, we don’t start new, but build on those who have gone before us”.

Please join us as we officially unveil the Mosaic Mural honoring the on-going revitalization of Downtown Galax.

This dedication launches the City of Galax’s Recycling efforts.

“Go Green Galax” activities will include making one-of-a-kind art pieces with recycled materials led by community youth.

Arty will be providing lemonade.

This free and open event is provided by the City of Galax Public Art Committee on behalf of The City of Galax Council and The Galax Community.
