Lynnhaven River Now is excited to host this year’s Annual Fall Festival at Mount Trashmore Park on Saturday October 12th, 11am-3pm. This FREE family-friendly event will include countless educational exhibits, workshops, live music and children’s activities. 70+ vendors will offer healthy, local and sustainable products and services.
As a community, we value our beautiful and bountiful natural resources. Whether you have lived here your whole life or are brand new to Virginia Beach, the Fall Festival will offer opportunities to learn more about our various watersheds and ways that you can help to protect and restore the waterways, beaches and natural areas that we all cherish.
This year’s festival will launch LRNow’s Year of the Tree campaign. Trees are the super heroes of nature and have amazing powers to clean and improve our environment in nearly every way. Throughout the year, we will be emphasizing the super powers that trees harness. Many of our activities, workshops and exhibits will be focused on the importance of trees with opportunities for you to take a new tree home for your yard.
Lynnhaven River NOW is a local nonprofit that works with residents, businesses, faith communities, schools, and community leaders to restore and protect our Virginia Beach waterways and natural areas. Our beautiful waterways, delicious local seafood, and diverse recreational opportunities in nature are an important part of why we chose Virginia Beach as our home.
