Family-oriented and environmentally focused, James RiverFest is an event celebrating and building advocacy for the James River, a major tributary to the Chesapeake Bay, and its environmental and cultural significance to our region. Hands-on educational activities for children, interpretive paddles hosted by the James River Association, a live archaeology dig and opportunities to reduce waste and improve water quality through innovative designs.
