The 1st Annual NAPS Earth Day 5K Race, Walk & Kids Run will be held Saturday April 18, 2015 at the Rice’s Hotel-Hughlett’s Tavern Farmers Market in Heathsville, VA. The race will be the centerpiece and kick-off of the Heathsville Earth Day Festival, help promote awareness of environmental issues, and encourage health and wellness. The manually timed 5K will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by a 100 yard Tot Trot for kids under 4 at 9:15. In addition the Northumberland Family Y will hold a 1K Healthy Kids Run at 9:30 for kids 4 to 10.
Immediately following the race there will be refreshments, live music, the Heathsville Farmers Market, and the Earth Day celebrations with plenty of adult and kids activities. The goal is to make this a premier event for runners, families, and for those just looking to enjoy a local community family event.
The cost of the race is $25.00 for adults; $10,00 for Youth 12 & under if you register by April 10. Registrations after April 10 will be $30.00 (Adult) and $12.00 (Youth)
