The mission of Chesapeake Farmers’ Market is to promote locally grown agricultural products to stimulate the farm economy and provide an opportunity for citizens to enjoy fresh products directly from local farms.This year Chesapeake Farmers’ Market will operate from two locations:
- Battlefield Park at 120 Reservation Road. This is beside the canal on the south side of the Great Bridge bridge.
- Chesapeake City Park, which is at 900 Greenbrier Parkway.
The markets will operate from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with local farmers offering fresh vegetables, herbs and plants. This year’s season will be from Saturday, June 21st through Saturday, November 22nd. For more information call the Agriculture Office at 757-382-6348.
