Innsbrook Snags 30 in Thirty

Innsbrook After Hours has been awarded a 30 in Thirty Grant of $500 in the Cigarette Litter Prevention category. Innsbrook After Hours in Glen Allen is an outdoor concert venue with a capacity of 8,500 people. Cigarette butt litter is a constant problem at every event, so they are planning to implement a Cigarette Litter Prevention Program. With 30 in Thirty funds received from Keep Virginia Beautiful, they will install six to eight cigarette butt receptacles in the most crowded areas of the venue. They will count how many butts are found after each show and compare it to prior years, aiming for a fifty percent decrease by next year.Innsbrook After Hours Logo

Government, non-profit, civic and service organizations in Virginia were invited to apply for 30 in Thirty Grants for $500 to $1,000 telling how they are addressing these pressing issues:  Litter Prevention, Recycling, Cigarette Litter Prevention, and Community Beautification. Since 2011, Keep Virginia Beautiful has provided over $110,000 to 140 organizations throughout the state. This year, for the first time, we are awarding 45 grants because of the generosity of our partners at Altria, Keep America Beautiful, WestRock Foundation and Trex.
