Friends of North Fork Snare 30 in Thirty

Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River in Woodstock has been awarded a 30 in Thirty grant of $750 in the Beautification category. The Friends have been the community-support organization of the upcoming Seven Bends State Park in Woodstock for over a year. They’ve completed a new bluebird box trail and attracted dozens of volunteers. They plan to increase the natural beauty of the park by planting wildflowers and creating a native plant garden. They hope the park serves as an educational resource for the community by inspiring others to plant or simply appreciate the landscapes around them. Northfork

Government, non-profit, civic and service organizations in Virginia were invited to apply for grants for $500 to $1,000 telling how they are addressing these pressing issues:  Litter Prevention, Recycling, Cigarette Litter Prevention, and Community Beautification.
