VersAbility Wins 30 in 30

VersAbility Resources in Hampton has been awarded a 30 in 30 Grant of $500 in the Recycling category. Our 30 in 3o Grant program focuses greater resources and attention on organizations and individual localities throughout the Commonwealth and how they are addressing the issues of litter prevention, recycling, waste reduction, beautification and education. These grants are made possible by Altria and MeadWestvaco.

VersAbility’s e-Recycling program is designed to protect the environment by safely destroying customer data and recycling electronics while creating jobs for people with disabilities. In 2014, they recycled over 1 million pounds of electronics, employed 22 people with disabilities in their e-Recycling program, and participated in 18 electronics recycling collection events. Funds provided by 30 in 30 Grant will be used to increase their public education efforts.
