New TV Ads for “I Want To Be Recycled” Campaign

What does a piece of trash dream of? What does that lonely bottle or can in the street want? Keep Virginia Beautiful (KVB), in partnership with Keep America Beautiful(KAB) and the Ad Council, are revealing the secret dreams of humble trash with the new “I Want to be Recycled” campaign.

Recycling has never been easier than it is today – or more important. The national recycling rate has increased every year since 1980. The current recycling rate is 34%. With this new campaign, KVB and KAB are raising awareness and teaching people about the cycle in recycling – how trash is turned into new products and given a second life.

I Want to Be Recycled is the central hub of the new campaign. On the website you can learn interesting facts about the recycling process, see the interactive journeys of different types of recyclables, check out the PSA’s created by the Ad Council, and (most importantly) get involved.
