Frances Ashbury to get Pretty with Thirty in 30

The Frances Ashbury Elementary School PTA (FAES PTA) has a unique idea to beautify their school through recycling.  They will be creating a huge mural out of recycled plastic caps to hang on the school building in their under-utilized courtyard.  This mural will represent community pride and spirit, and create beauty in their school,  through the use of recycled materials.  In addition to using the grant funds to purchase the necessary materials needed to hang the mural, the FAES PTA will also be planting a perennial garden below the mural to further enhance their courtyard.  We love the idea of a recycled cap mural and garden to help bring beauty to a much needed area of a Virginia elementary school, so way to think outside of the box!  We are proud to get you started with a $500 Thirty in 30 Grant in the Beautification Category.

We are awarding “30 Grants In 30 Days” during June 2013.  We provided the opportunity for government, non-profit and/or service organizations in Virginia to apply for one of our Thirty in 30 grants of $500 in three different categories:  Beautification, Litter Prevention, and Recycling.  These grants are made possible by Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation and your generous donations.
