Grayson County sweeps up Thirty in 30 Grant

Grayson County Public Works (GCPW) wants to bring recycling to the Town of Troutdale.  So we are proud to award them a $500 Thirty in 30 Grant in the Recycling Category.  Currently, Troutdale has no recycling services, so GCPW would like to purchase several large, rolling recycling bins to start the community’s very first recycling center!  The Town has already petitioned for this service so the residents do not need to be convinced to use their new recycling center – in fact they are eager to use it.  We are more than happy to provide the start-up funds for the Troutdale Recycling Center, and since they have asked for this service, we know that it will be a highly successful program.

We provided the opportunity for government, non-profit and/or service organizations in Virginia to apply for one of our Thirty in 30 grants of $500 in three different categories:  Beautification, Litter Prevention, and Recycling.  One grant will be awarded every day for thirty days.  These grants are made possible by Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation and your continued support.
