Keep Prince William Beautiful gets Thirty in 30

Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB) plans to expand their Operation Clean Sweep Campaign.  This campaign includes 20 large scale community clean-ups annually, in conjunction with litter prevention education.  KPWB will use their Thirty in 30 grant funds to purchase some reusable, weather-proof safety signs and approximately 50 litter grabbers.  On the first clean-up of this campaign, 1.96 tons of litter/debris was collected and disposed of properly, therefore KPWB can look forward to many more tons of litter to clean-up from within Prince William County.  KPWB is one of our affiliates,  and we could not be happier to help support a successful litter prevention program in the Commonwealth with a Thirty in 30 Grant of $500 in the Litter Prevention Category.

We provided the opportunity for government, non-profit and/or service organizations in Virginia to apply for one of our Thirty in 30 grants of $500 in three different categories:  Beautification, Litter Prevention, and Recycling.  These grants are made possible by Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation and your generous donations.
